Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in the pursuit and promotion of Montessorian World Education and Fellowship.
Participation is by membership subscription.
Members may include by interest and education affiliation be involved as:

OPEN PLAN :
OPEN MEMBERS CATEGORY - QUALIFIED CLIENT USER
The Open Membership Category is for all Montessorians and friends including parents and students. Qualified Client Users can explore the opportunities within MWI platform and advance themselves at their own pace and place.
AFFILIATION PLAN :
AP - 1 : QUALIFIED MONTESSORIAN ASSOCIATE
Montessorian Associate grade membership is open to all Qualified Montessorians who has completed a minimum of Montessorian Certification at CL 1 or hold a Certificate level equivalent of Montessori based studies from any approved institution. Applicants must demonstrate that they satisfy one of the following sets of entry criteria:
Consortium Status / Credential and designation : Affiliation Plan 1 ( Qualified Montessorian Associate)
- Members who have obtained an International Montessorian Certification Award at Competency Level - 1 Skill Qualification by Direct Membership Examination or Transnational Education Assessment, OR
- Members who have obtained Montessorian World Competency Skill Qualification at Competency Level -1 or equivalent, eg Certificate in Montessori Studies from any approved institution, and
- Nomination by another Qualified Montessorian or Certified Montessorian of good standing, and
- Committed in the continual education, practice or teaching of Montessori based education
- Successful completion of a Profile Review and Assessment

MP - 3 : CERTIFIED MONTESSORIAN EDUCATOR - CMEd
CMEd Grade is open to Montessorian Professionals who have attained a high level of competency in Montessorian Education and are Member of MWI Practice Faculty.
Consortium Status / Credential and designation : Affiliation Plan 2 ( Certified Corporate ) (CMEd Certified Montessorian Educator (MWI)
This is a professional grade membership. Applicants must demonstrate that they satisfy one of the following sets of criteria:
- Completed an International Montessorian Certification Award at Competency Level 4 either by Direct Membership Examination or Transnational Education Assessment, OR
- Hold a University Degree in Education or Graduate Diploma in academic qualification with related Montessori Studies, OR
- An ability to prove a high level of expertise as a Montessorian Professional and Educator, and
- Completed MWI Induction Program
- Nomination by two (2) Certified Montessorians ( at least one is CMEd member) of good standing, and
- Minimum 5 years’ experience and 1 year approved internship under approved supervision, and
- Successful completion of an Assessment of Professional Competency at CMEd grade

FELLOWSHIP MEMBERSHIP :
The Fellowship Membership is created to recognise members and individuals who have made continued significant contribution within the MWI fraternity.
CMEd
( HON FELLOW) AWARD
CMEd (Hon Fellow) is a senior grade of membership created to recognise commitment and service to the MWI. Examples include distinguished specialist educators and academia, highly regarded professionals in the area of training, teaching or examination of students, engaging in public or community activities, or serving on committees set up by industry or government as well as service within the MWI fraternity.
Membership Credential - CMEd Certified Montessorian Educator (Hon Fellow, MWI)
Fellow Grade membership is available to all Certified Montessorians and can satisfy the following sets of prerequisites:
- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience at CMP or CMEd Grade membership, and
- Be a minimum of thirty-five (35) years old, and
- Hold a senior professional or academic position for a minimum of three (3) years, and
- Be able to demonstrate significant commitment to the profession of Montessorian Education and service to the community beyond normal employment requirements, (e.g. have served on an MWI Council / Committee or as Chapter and Country Hosts, having shown leadership within industry or profession beyond individual company interests), and
- Has been invited or Nominated by two (2) Fellow Grade members or three (3) Certified Montessorian.
MWI FELLOWSHIP AWARD
MWI Fellowship Award is classified into three categories, namely MWI (Hon Fellow), MWI (Fellow) and MWI (Affiliate Fellow). Generally, membership into Fellowship with MWI is by invitation, nomination by Members or submission of Membership Proposal Plan.
- MWI (Hon Fellow) is a membership grade created to recognise distinguished members or individuals who have made significant contribution in their field of specialization, societal or public services, shared the vision and mission of MWI and have contributed to its advancement in their home country or internationally. - MWI (Fellow) is a membership grade created to recognise individuals who may not academically trained as Montessorian but shared the vision and mission of MWI and have made significant contribution to the cause of MWI in their home country or internationally. - MWI (Affiliate Fellow) is a membership grade created for individuals who may not be academically trained as Montessorian but are highly experienced and recognized professionals in their field of specialization as academia or practitioners, share the vision and mission of MWI and are committed to the furthering the cause of MWI. MEMBERSHIP POLICY AND TERMS OF PARTICIPATION.
All members must subscribe to the terms of participation.
Membership is renewable yearly subject to the terms of participation at the time of renewal.
